Greedy women

Greedy Women

Once there lived two sisters in a small village. The elder one Ramani was married to a shopkeeper. Younger one Rathna was married to a farmer.

Ramani was rich but, greedy and never helped any one.

Rathna was poor but, good and kind hearted. One day Rathna and his son went to the near forest to get some dry leaves and dry sticks.

Rathna's son was two years old. She asked him to sit and play. While doing her work she started singing. The kid was also enjoying the song.

Suddenly the kid started to cry, when Rathna turned back, there was a huge Gorilla who was holding her son.

The gorilla said, "your song is good. Take your kid and go towards east direction, there you will find a tree full of fruits. Every fruit will shout "Pick me, Pick me." But do not pick any one of them, pick the one fruit which will be calm. Take the fruit to your home and open it."

As per the gorilla's instructions, Rathnam took the fruit to her home and opened it. Surprise! the house was filled with gold, money, and many valuables.

Rathnam went to her sister and told the story.

The very next day Ramami also went to the forest with her kid, started to sing and the gorilla came and told her all the instructions.

The lady went to the tree and plucked all the fruits and came home.

She thought that the fruits give me more money and gold than my sister. I will be the richest of all.

The thought resembles her greediness.

She started to open the fruits.

Fruit one- A lizard came out.

Fruit two- A scorpion came out.

Fruit three- A frog came out.

Fruit four- A snake came out.

Fruit five- A wolf came out.

After seeing the snake and wolf she came to know that, opening the fruits is dangerous.

She came to know how bad her thoughts were and started to help poor and became kind hearted.
