Once Shah, the king, decided to have a new town built. He paid all workmen, one gold coin a day.
Aldar, a poor but intelligent fellow, came to this place in search of a job. The king glanced at him and said, "your pay will be a gold coin a year."
Aldar agreed and went to mix the clay.
In a year's time, every one in the kingdom got plenty of gold coins, where as Aldar earned only one coin.
He decided to leave the town. He met an old lady at the market.
The lady was holding a sack. Aldar went to that lady and asked "What's inside?"
She replied,"It's a cat, the terror for the mice."
"Can you sell me that cat for a gold coin?" asked Aldar.
The old lady sold the cat to Aldar.
He took the cat to the Shah's new town.
He started a business with the cat. The cat was very happy to live in that town.
There are many mouse nest's in the town. Every one asked Aldar to lend the cat for one or two days to catch all the mice in their houses.
Aldar was paid by the house owners.
One day, Aldar was called by the monarch to the palace, along with his cat.
The Shah ordered Aldar to leave his cat for a week to catch all the mice in the palace. He is ready to pay ten gold coins for each mouse.
The cat caught 365 mice in a week fetching him 3650 gold coins.
Aldar is happy for he earned ten times more than each workman, who has built the town.
