A Golden Duck

In a village there were two brothers named Ramu and Somu.

Ramu was hard working, very good person and kind hearted.

Somu, a lazy fellow, he neither helped any one nor given a penny to poor.

Their parents married them and shared the property equally. Their property included farm, cows, sheep's and ducks.

There are five ducks, among them one duck lays a golden egg every day. So, their parents told them,"both of you share the duck's egg alternatively."

The very next day Somu had a quarrel with his brother about the golden egg.

Being kind hearted Ramu said, "Somu you were the younger among us. So you take the first golden egg."

After few days, on an occasion Ramu and his family should go to a near y village.

While going Ramu gave the golden duck to Somu and said "Somu I will be back after three days. You take care of the cattle and duck too."

Somu thought that, he could become rich, by killing the duck and take all the golden eggs from its stomach.

With out concious and conscience he killed the duck. But he could't find even one egg in the duck's stomach.

When Ramu came home and asked Somu, "How are you?"

Somu started to cry loudly and told Ramu what had happened.

Ramu laughed and said politely "Better to drink the milk than to eat a cow."

From that day Somu changed and started to follow Ramu's principles.

That's the happy ending of the story.
